Hello, my name is Dr. Robert Murray and I have been a practicing dentist in the Aliso Viejo area since 1990. During this time I have watched the community around me explode with growth and new young families. Let me begin by stating that we are first and foremost a family practice and it is our goal to provide a lifetime of dental care from early childhood services, to adolescent orthodontics, Implants for missing teeth as well as the most aesthetic and functional cosmetic dentistry available today.

I am originally from Sonoma County, California and graduated in 1985 from UCLA with a degree in organic chemistry. I received my D.D.S. from USC in 1989. My post-graduate education includes:

I work hard to stay current and abreast of the most recent advances in functional and esthetic dentistry. We offer Pedodontic dentistry (children's dentistry), Orthodontics (braces), Endodontics (root canals) and Dental Implants. Furthermore, we offer complimentary Orthodontic , implant or cosmetic consultations and/or second opinions.
We have 2 full time hygienists and 3 part time hygienist that have been with us for more than 10 years so that you will always have the same one. This is one way of building a long term relationship.

Meet My Team
About Dr Vanek
Dr. Vanek cites his interesting life experiences and background for all his academic and business achievements. His parents are both Czech and immigrated from Prague in the 60's. Dr. Vanek was born and raised in California. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in the Geological Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara; where he studied Antarctic Geophysics under the director of the Institute for Crustal Studies.
Working in the realm of Oceanographic and Geophysical Science offered Dr. Vanek a lot of travel opportunities throughout the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. His travels included research trips to remote areas of Alaska and Antarctica funded by the National Science Foundation [NSF], a medical/dental mission to Uspantan, Guatemala funded by Helps International, and subsequent travels to New Zealand, Fiji, Chile, and Costa Rica. He also received first place in the Society for Technical Communication writing competition for his article: "Remote Sensing Techniques for the Analysis of Antarctic Ice."
Following his work as an Oceanographic Researcher, Dr. Vanek completed his dental education at Creighton University, School of Dentistry. Located in Omaha, Nebraska, and founded in 1905, the dental school exists as one of the oldest in the country. Through his dental education (and while working as a dental assistant, laboratory technician, & digital videographer), he received experience in many areas of specialized dentistry. He hopes that in understanding the aims of these special areas of dentistry that he can better communicate each treatment option to his patients. In addition to his clinical work, he also devotes time for philanthropic activities to serve those who need special attention (at locations like the Hillside House) and The Sheepfold (Sheltering Homeless Women and Children). Dr. Vanek is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Orange County Dental Society.
Dr. Vanek likes to spend the majority of his free time in and around the ocean. Besides water sports like kite boarding, he also enjoys artistic pursuits such as photography, ceramics, mechanical and architectural design.
About Dr Kim
Jonathan Kim grew up in Orange County, CA. After graduating from El Dorado High School in Placentia, he attended UCLA and graduated with a degree in Political Science in 2002.
Dr. Kim chose to stay locally for dental school, attending USC. While at USC he was a member of the Sports Dentistry team and was an integral part of the Emergency Department, where he treated student-athletes who were experiencing dental pain. It was during this time that Dr. Kim attained proficiency in root canals and tooth extraction beyond the school standards.
After graduating USC in 2008, Dr. Kim came back to Orange County to associate in private dental practices. He has received additional training in cosmetic veneers and implants; always striving to provide his patients with the best possible care.
In his free time, Dr. Kim enjoys playing golf and snow boarding.
